As value investors, our investment process starts with identifying companies that have sustainable competitive advantages; we then research the fundamentals of the companies in order to evaluate their intrinsic value; and finally we insist on only buying into an investment at a margin of safety; this time-tested value investment approach was first developed by Benjamin Graham, and practiced with tremendous success by Warren Buffett.

In order to reduce risk, we model our approach after a handful of long-term successful investors, “Gurus”. 

All these great investors have built a very successful practice. Some of them manage hedge funds that have high thresholds, some manage mutual funds that are closed to new investors.
